Description
Are you looking for this workshop I used to do?
I haven't planned any more for the foreseeable future. I'm sorry if that is a disappointment.
If it's some consolation, all the help is also in my book, my Bitesize audio collection, and you can also arrange a private call with me.

Eva’s workshop gave me the confidence and knowledge I needed to get started with refeeding even before I got to meet with any specialists as waiting lists are long. I used the kind, compassionate words and encouragement advised by Eva which not only got my daughter to sit at the table regularly but has given my daughter and I a better bond that means we have trust to keep showing up every meal and snack time to beat this eating disorder. The workshop has provided exactly what our family needed just at the right time. Thank you Eva
Tatjana –
Thank you, Eva.
As I have said during the workshop: finding your book was a miracle to us. I'm so grateful for all the information and resources you provide. During the workshops it was very helpful to ask the questions that bother me most and receive advise most appropriate to our personal situation. And it was inspiring to meet other parents in different stages of this tough journey.
Thank you for your kindness too! Now I feel confident to help my daughter through to get out of hell.
Lucy –
Eva's book and workshops have been the most insightful guides on to how to guide your child on this very difficult journey.
There are no words to describe how grateful we are as a family to have found Eva Musby.
Really useful –
Your workshop was really useful for us. Our daughter has gained weight since I have started feeding her with all your advice.
I'm reassured that CAMHS use the same approach as everything I have read in your book.
When we started treatment with CAMHS I said we had been using your resources and been on one of your workshops and they were really pleased and said that because I had learnt so much they didn’t need to cover a lot of the basics.
I want to say thank you for all the resources you have produced, they really helped me to feel less alone and out of control during the last few weeks, and I’m sure will continue to do so.
Your warmth and kindness comes through in your book, the bitesize audios and of course in the workshop, and was just what I needed during such a scary time.
I’m sure we will book onto another workshop when we are further along with recovery.
[Update 4 weeks later]: We are still making progress. Our daughter is feeling positive about getting better and is eating well and I feel well equipped to support her through her recovery.

Thank you for the encouragement and connection. Even though I am super tired for having gone three rounds with suicide the night before and getting up early while ill, I feel rejuvenated!
Thank you for empowering me and so many others, I am sure. It was great and as always gave me tips and ideas that only a live format can do.
Transformational –
My partner and I recently did 'Part A' of your zoom workshop.
We immediately began using your methods to communicate and get started with 6 meals a day.
The transformation has been nothing short of miraculous. I expect there will be more bumps in the road, but to be able to replace our despair with hope in less than a week is literally transformational for all of us. I have now cried my way though your book and am filled with gratitude at both your generosity and our good fortune.
Your resources were recommended to us from the "Butterfly foundation" helpline here in Australia and I was attracted to them as a way of getting started whilst waiting for professional help.
We will see you soon for part B 🙂

Vielen herzlichen Dank Eva!

Life saving!
Thank you so much Eva
Susanna –
So grateful for this course as a first step. It has probably helped us avoid many mistakes and much uncertainty. I thoroughly recommend it.
Tefila –
This workshop is outstanding!
But what stood out to me most was your kindness and compassion. I would attend this workshop again just to hear the responses you offer which soothe, calm and empower.
Many thanks!

Thank you Eva – please rest assured despite some tech issues on the night we still got loads from your workshop. I think your emphasis on compassion is so helpful and is the advice professionals aren't able to focus on in treatment. I will definitely join you for stage 2 session once it is on an Australian friendly time.
The opportunity to spend time with others who understand the daily struggles we are all facing makes it extra worthwhile! I'd so strongly recommend anyone who is on this terrible eating disorder pathway to attend. It gives such practical advice that really works. Thank you!
Jennifer –
I am so much more confident, calm and resilient to help my daughter in her recovery. It's incredible how a simple change of viewpoint, tone of voice and persistent kindness can give hope and peace for all involved! Thank you!
Lorena –
Now, I habe hope again. I see light again. And I use Eva‘s Self-compassion tool everyday. It‘s so helpful and warming.
A thousand thanks to you Eva.
Yours sincerely, Lorena

I was at an incredibly low point as I joined the workshop. I felt so alone in coping with this horrible illness. Eva made me feel like I had options and new approaches to try. Her voice and manner was incredibly soothing which helped my soul on a day I felt broken. It also gave me hope that my daughter can recover from this. It was helpful to connect to the other carers and I exchanged details with one who remained in the after chat with me. Occasional emails of support from the other side of the world has been a nice moment of connection in a horrible situation. Thank you so much.

Eva’s kindness and compassion along with practical and useful advice and as super helpful. Recommend this for anyone who’s doctors have told them to refeed their kids and don’t know where to start.
My daughter ASD and AN and we battled for 18 months before finally turning things around using Eva”s methods. I got referred to Eva and her resources and they were game changers for us. The information I was getting on FBT was too rigid for our neurodiverse girl. What is working is taking an adapted approach to FBT.
Since applying Eva’s methods we are weight restored and moving to phase 2.
It was a relief to know that compassion and kindness did not ever mean compromising care and refeeding, I recommend you check these resources out.

This course in a ray of sunshine in an anorexic thunderstorm. Eva offers the how – but surrounded by sound knowledge, experience and love.
I can’t recommend this course highly enough – felt for the first time took a breathe since the rollercoaster of anorexia took over our daughter.

This workshop helped us too, my daughter has had breakfast every day following the workshop – a miracle. It was just using the right words and tone. We have a long way to go but I cannot thank you enough.
John –
Thanks, Eva, for running an excellent workshop yesterday. I had previously watched a couple of your videos but the workshop added a lot of nuance and detail to what was said and shown in the videos. Meeting the other parents on the workshop was also really useful, as was the way in which you demonstrated how to communicate with the child who have the eating disorder at meal / snack times. Your key phrases of 'compassionate persistence' and 'connect-direct' will underpin our efforts to help our daughter overcome her eating disorder. Those phrases also provide a useful mantra for how we communicate with all three of our children on a day to day basis (i.e. empathy first and foremost)
Blessed by hugs –
I had a precious moment with my son after the workshop.
The expected “Stop patronising me” happened but this time I paused and took a deep breath and with humour and love apologised that my words made him feel this way, and said laughing at myself I had got it wrong . I told him I just wanted him to know that I hear him and love him. That I would always have his back .
He flung his arms around me “I know mum, thanks”.
We hugged for while in silence and he went off to go his stuff. No tension ,no conflict just warm hugs .
It was a blessing.
Three weeks later:
It’s still a challenge and there are days you feel broke but thanks to the workshop I am managing the bad days better and the best of all is that I get more spontaneous hugs .
When he says about patronising him he now mimics and exaggerates me. I return it with humour even bigger and we end up laughing .
They are amazing and I drink them in ,we seem closer. Even when he hates me he knows I have his back.
Looking forward to more workshops.
Bless you Eva xx
Parent –
After the workshop I went back into the ward and used your approach and wow, it worked and we are now eating after a full day of refusal.
Such a long road ahead but so pleased I came along today.

I attended this workshop around midnight Australian time! It was well worth staying up for! I would encourage anyone thinking about whether they should attend to just do it! Eva gives brilliant advice in calmly encouraging your child to get started with eating and also gives further advice to empower the parent/Carer to stay the course. There is a role play section which is also empowering (don’t stress…you aren’t made to partake!) it helps you position yourself as a wise, kind parent. Compassionate persistence! As a parent who has continued with advocacy in Australian system I will definitely pass these techniques on to families I support here. Have you signed up yet? Just do it!

Don’t hesitate to sign up to the workshop. I found it really helpful not only to hear Eva’s great advice and learn from her experience and invaluable knowledge, but also to hear from other families in similar situations. Everything Eva says in her book, bitesize and workshop makes alot of sense to me and it was incredibly helpful to participate in and listen to role plays during the workshop. The discussions covered things that are happening in my family right now but also other situations which may happen in future. Hearing about these will help prepare me for what may lie ahead. I felt more confident that afternoon to help support my child. It resulted in a calmer lunch time experience and I could see my child relax much more, which was great. I will definitely do another workshop. I feel incredibly grateful to Eva for sharing her knowledge and time.
Not a robot, not a nurse! –
I found it really helpful today, especially the calming techniques, I immediately put these into practice this evening.
Remembering the prompts and the gentleness of your voice also helped, in the role play I felt like you really meant what you were saying. I’ve been using prompts but I think I may have sounded like a robot over the last few days?!
I let go of some of my fear this evening and took some nice deep breaths and felt like her mum, not a nurse. This was so far the most natural and lighthearted meal since my daughters hospital discharge (and fairly successful!).
In our daughter's situation she lost weight so rapidly as she just couldn’t eat and this caused heart function problems. I think we’ve been running on adrenaline ever since so relaxing more around the meal really helped today. Meal by meal, bite by bite she’ll recover, I’m sure of it.
Thank you Eva x

We are just at the start of our family's journey with eating disorders. At a time when no one had space and we were struggling to figure out what was ahead, Eva's calming, thoughtful workshop armed us with tools, confidence and an amazing global community for support. We started using the techniques immediately. Even though we are in San Francisco, California–it was worth getting up early for!

It has been such a deep and helpful experience for me, meeting other parents in need and I learned especially a lot from your “role plays”!

Thank you so much for your workshop. Not only was the content useful but you also have a beautiful kindness in the way you teach and facilitate that is so nice to see.
Vani –
I attended this workshop today. I feel grateful that we 've found Eva's work …We were lost in despair but now deep inside me I know that we will find our way to recovery…Thank you.
Sue –
I attended this workshop today and have just booked a further one. I am so grateful to have found Eva's work on FBT and have found it insightful, useful and a great consolation too. Meeting with others during the session where we were able to share our experiences and concerns was also very valuable and it was very generous of Eva to enable this. Heartfelt thanks!

My wife and I attended three of these workshops individually and jointly. We thought the workshops were excellent. The sessions were well-structured and managed sensitively. They greatly helped our confidence in supporting our daughter with anorexia to eat despite her resistance at meal-times. Watching Eva model how to support your child with their eating at a meal-time was particularly helpful to us.
